Gallery Gottorp is situated about four kilometers north of Kristiinankaupunki, by the road Skrattnäsintie.
The gallery is made up of a number of log houses dating from the 18th century, which are located in a thickly wooded yard. Inside the gallery you can find artworks by Stina Engvall and Sonja Lapveteläinen. The art exhibitions are renewed annually, but there is also a permanent exhibition about the persecution of witches in 17th century Kristiinankaupunki, as well as an exhibition portraying town life in the 17th century.
At Gallery Gottorp you can also visit the shaman in his garden, notice the scents from the herb garden or enjoy a cup of coffee and home-made pastry while sitting on the sunny terrace. The little ones can find entertaining activities in the playhouse.
In addition to paintings there are also books, cards, jewellery and souvenirs for sale and for those who really want to shop there is a barn with a flea market.
